Korteland & Paul van de Vliet, both
living in Gorinchem (The Netherlands) met each other on the dance-floor
while kicking on the music from Underworld, Chemical Brothers,
Morphin, The Prodigy and Roni Size. The decided to take part into the Dance Music Scene and in 1996 they founded the Inmost. Their music which is based on break and house beats, bass & drums is contructed via analogue and digital instruments. Besides samples and different synthesizers they use external sound sources like stations, streets and tunnels. Girls from the dance floor lend them their voices and several artists like Hans Dulfer on tenor-sax, Vera Galis on violin and Izak Boom on banjo and guitar give their contribution to the compositions. Music form the Inmost is a mixture made of live and studio ingredientswhich give it a deep rich and colourful character. |
